Mission Statement
Selah’s Snack Cart 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization built on the principles of Customized Employment — creating a tailored space that promotes independence, dignity, and participation for individuals with IDD- intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We provide employment opportunities, host vocational training and educational programs, and fund the tools, support staff, and adaptive workspaces needed to create front-facing job roles. This includes equipment and ingredients for a “customized employment” snack menu — a no-fry, no-grill, no-bake menu designed for accessible job tasks — along with work packaging/labeling materials and a mobile cart for community delivery. All elements of the program, from workspace layout to point-of-sale systems and task design, are customized to support independent movement and success.
We partner with local schools, organizations, and agencies to offer hands-on vocational field trips, transitional job training experiences, and educational social engagement opportunities — with plenty of fun along the way.
